1. What is the reason for the recall?
The plastic, zip-tie style tip restraints can become brittle or break, posing a tip-over and entrapment hazard involving the clothing storage furniture to which they are attached. Furniture tip-overs can result in death or serious injuries to consumers, especially small children.
2. What Should I Do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the dresser with the recalled tip-over restraint.
Keep children away from the dresser.
Register on this website for a free replacement tip-over kit. ABS will immediately ship you a new tip-over restraint kit free of charge.
3. How do I know if my tip-restraint is part of the recall?
This recall includes only tip restraint kits provided with Canyon Furniture Company clothing storage units sold exclusively by Rooms To Go between July 2023 and May 2024.
84 distinct clothing storage units are affected in the following furniture families: Canyon Lake, Canyon River, Cottage Colors, Creekside 2.0, Ivy League 2.0, and Modern Colors.
If you need assistance determining if your unit is included, you may contact Rooms To Go customer service directly via their toll-free number at 855-688-0919 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or via email at productcare@roomstogo.com. If you purchased the unit online between July 2023 and May 2024, you can also check your sales receipt by logging into www.roomstogo.com.

4. What remedy are you offering as part of the recall?
ABS is providing a free replacement of your tip restraint kits. There are no charges associated with this replacement.
The new tip-over restraint kit includes a metal wire instead of plastic zip ties. The new tip-over restraint kit has been reviewed and approved as adequate by CPSC technical staff.
5. I am not concerned about this. Can I continue to use my dresser with the current tip-over restraint?
No. We are asking all users to immediately stop using their current tip restraints and contact us for a free replacement.
6. I have other Rooms to Go furniture. Is that furniture affected by this recall?
No. Only the specific Canyon Furniture Company units outlined above are affected by this recall
7. What is the new tip-over restraint kit?
The new tip-over restraint kits includes a metal wire instead of plastic zip ties. The new tip-over restraint kit has been reviewed and approved as adequate by CPSC technical staff.
8. How long will it take for me to receive the replacement?
We are shipping new tip-over restraint kits immediately.
9. Have there been any reported injuries?
No.
10. I no longer have the receipt for the dresser. Can I still get a replacement?
Yes. Even if you don’t have a receipt, you can receive a replacement.
